The Battle of The Chef Cartel: Round Two

The Chef Cartel recognizes Toronto’s fresh and contemporary vibe in the hip culinary scene. They call attention to those modern day heroes that will bring us into a new food revolution, who are typical hidden behind closed doors.

A month ago, the first battle for the Chef Cartel took place at LUXE Appliance Studio. Last night, the cartel returned for round two between two standout chefs: Marvin Palomo and the winner of the night, Stefan Gadit.

With host Joey Salmingo accompanied by Chef David Wolfman, private chef Paul Lillakas, Rachel Bies, the founder of RachelBies Nutrition, Editor-In-Chief of Canadian Living, Sandra Martin, and Rock Lobster Food Co. owner Matt Pettit as judges, last night was one for the history books. The venue was sold out, the atmosphere was insane, and the food was, shall we say, out of this world!

The Cartel began as an idea by founder 25 year-old Nikko Jacino. Jacino works as an Executive Chef for BSH Home Appliances, with a true passion for his work with the Cartel.

Check out the video from last nights' event below! The next battle is set for May 2nd, see you there!
