Project Vortex is an international collective of designers, architects, and artist that work together to raise awareness, specifically on plastic pollution in our oceans.
Plastic is produced with toxic additives like polycarbonate, bisphenol A, and polyvinyl chloride. Many of which are linked to neurological problems and birth defects. Project Vortex aims to call attention to these toxins that are being poured into our oceans.
Since last week celebrated Earth Day worldwide, Project Vortex is the perfect cause to get behind. Check out the Project Vortex University project, a place where you can find information on Sculpture + Intercepting the Waste Stream. Created by founding artist of Project Vortex, Aurora Robson, this project is a sculpture course designed to restrict the flow of plastic debris in our oceans.
We should all do what we can to protect this Earth. After all, it’s the only one we’ve got.
